Apple Inc - formerley Apple Computer Inc is an American multi-national Corporation with a focus on designing and manufacturing consumer electronics and software products. The company's best known hardware products include the Macintosh line of personal computers, the iPod line line of portable media players and the iPhone. Apple software products also include the Mac OS X operating systems, iTunes media browser, the iLife suite of multimedia and creative software and Final Cut studio a suite of professional audio and film industry software products.

Established in Cupertino, California on April1st 1976 and incorporated January 1977 the company was originally called Apple Computer Inc for it's first 30 years, but dropped the word"Computer" on January 2007 to reflect the companies ongoing expansion into other products.

Apple Inc now has annual sales of $ US 24 Billion to end of fiscal year September 2007, this company has established itself as having a unique reputation in the consumer electronics industry with a customer base devoted to it's brand.
